Got the Outback serviced today, and it turns out that the horrible screeching noise was just a belt that needed to be tightened. A quick forty dollars later and now my car won't frighten small children and animals when I start it or when I turn to the left.

In family news, Aunt Olive has been in the hospital for a week with pneumonia (and a side order of congestive heart failure). At 95 (96 later this month), she's got a battle ahead of her to get back home, but she's already up and getting ready to start rehab. This woman will never cease to amaze me.

And now I have to go avoid grading...

So sorry to hear about Aunt Olive, but I know she's tough. AND, OH! My car is doing that, too! I should take it in, but I'm afraid they'll find all kinds of other crap that needs to be fixed...

but the squawking is scaring people outside the courthouse when I drive away from work...

I was worried that mine would be a billion dollars to fix, but it was, like, twenty bucks to tighten the belt. It was loud and horrible...that might be what yours is doing. Mine only did it when it was really cold.

Speaking of cold, I was sorry to hear that you caught Lobb's. You can hit him for me. :)

He is already worried that I might give it back to him, so I may have to punch him in the face. I think I would feel better.

Just checking...

I still check every once in awhile to see if you are still with us. I'm glad to see you are. I still miss you and "Retards Last Chance." Oh I'm so sorry to use that nasty "R" word. Will Sarah Palin ever forgive me? Lou
